Prologue

 

This is not a blog. Well, sort of. The word “blog” implies a more casual, social media environment. While I welcome the good aspects of that comparison, I reject the echo chamber and ouroboros-like nature of places like those. There are so many spaces and faces that are dedicated to making people like me feel alone. This is not one of those spaces and I am not one of those faces.

This is not a blog. I plan on updating this regularly and forgetting about it for weeks at a time.

Thank you to my mom for allowing me to articulate my thoughts, no matter the circumstances. You are my best friend.  To my little brother, my life began when you were born. Thank you for always being the loudest voice in my crowd of supporters. Thank you, Taji for teaching me how to drive and encouraging me to continue showing up authentically. You guys are my heart and soul. I would be nothing without you.
